Student submitted PDFs appear blank.

Following applies to submitting PDF forms in the Portal document center:

Many staff members have reported blank form fields in completed PDFs when viewed or printed. The root of the issue lies with Mac students that completed PDFs using Preview. When these completed forms are viewed in Adobe Reader on a Mac or PC, they will most-likely appear blank. To that end, we’ve informed staff that students must use Adobe Reader to view and complete PDFs.

There are two solutions that can be done by the student:

(Preferred method) Install and use Adobe Reader to complete the form.

-or-

-Use Print to PDF in Preview, or preferably,

  1. Fill out form with Preview
  2. Go to the File Menu
  3. Go to Print (Cmd(Or Apple Key) + P)
  4. Click the PDF button in the Print Dialog window
  5. Click Save as ..
  6. Complete Save window fields
  7. Email complete form as needed

Both solutions have been tested and verified
